Mureni (see the map on the Maps tab) is a small peaceful village situated about 16km from Sighisoara. The village itself is just a short drive off the main road running from Brasov to Sighisoara which means it benefits from excellent access in all weather, but without suffering from the noise and bustle of through traffic during busy periods. The house is also just off the main road leading through Mureni (its a two-street village of approximately 100 houses) on the road that leads to the village of Feleag. The house used to operate as a village bar and the cellar has therefore been converted into a sitting area. The house could continue to be used as such, for the more adventurous investor, or alternatively the space would make an excellent family eating area or or kitchen/diner (when the weather isn't conducive to eating outside). In the garden there is also a brick-built summer kitchen. The house was renovated in 2006, including the roof, but some of the upstairs rooms need organising.

The house would be suitable, therefore, as a summer house for a small family, or as a manageable project for a couple looking to retire to the countryside.
